Twin Lakes Announces Upcoming Events

Twin Lakes State Park announces the following events:

Thursday, August 1, 2 p.m., “Geocaching 101” – a new way to treasure hunt; $3 per person, $8 per family;

Friday, August 2, 6 p.m., “Family Game Night” – board games, card games, puzzles, and more; 8 p.m., “Make New Friends Campfire” – make new friends at the park, sing songs, hear stories and enjoy s’mores;

Saturday, August 3, 11 a.m. “Archery 101” – near the Cedar Crest Conference Center on the new archery range, learn the basics of archery safety and technique and play a fun aiming game, parking limited, children eight plus, paternal supervision for children under 12 required, closed-toed shoes required for all archers; 2 p.m., “Plant I.D. Hike” – discover natural plant life, identify trees, and go on a wildflower hunt, meet in front of the Main Office; 4 p.m., “Wilderness Survival Hike” – a fun survival scenario hike, “get lost” and learn how to survive off nature, then find the way back all in just an hour, meet at the Interpretive Circle; 11 a.m., “Canoeing 101” – the in’s and out’s of canoeing, $5 per person, $4 per person for groups of 4+.
