CUMBERLAND, July 2 – Evelyn B. Sheppek passed away at her home in Cumberland Thursday, June 27, 2013.

Survivors include two nieces, Elizabeth and Nancy of Roanoke, an aunt and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Sheppek, her parents, Dick and Bessie Bowling and a sister, Mary Maberg.

Thanks to her caretaker, Phillip McHenry, the Centra family and others who supported and helped during her illness.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Association.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home.
