Southside SPCA Announces Dog of the Month

The Southside SPCA June Field of Dreams Dog of the Month comes from the “Lunenburg Ladies,” a retreat rescue mission undertaken by Southside SPCA in Lunenburg County. The Richmond Animal League and other rescue groups assisted, but plenty of peppy pups are left – and yes, they are all as adorable as the one pictured here.
These Jack Russell, Chihuahua, Doxie mixes are very small in size and vary in age, so the SPCA can match you to the perfect companion. They will be available for adoption in the next few weeks. Apply early and reserve one of these truly deserving animals.
If interested, please fill out an application at www.southsidespca.org. You must be able to make an onsite visit prior to adoption.
The Southside SPCA is a donor-supported, tax-exempt, 501(c) (3) organization that has provided shelter, medical treatment, spay/neuter, and adoption services to over 36,000 puppies, kittens, cats, and dogs since the organization's inception in 1975. They are a no-kill shelter operating almost entirely with volunteers and serve 12 largely rural, economically depressed counties in Southside Virginia: Amelia, Brunswick, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Dinwiddie, Halifax, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway, Appomattox, and Prince Edward.
