Gilliam Named To JRD's Softball First Team

Cumberland High School senior shortstop Kamren Gilliam was named to the James River District's All-District Softball Team in recent voting by the league's coaches. She was the only player from The Herald's coverage area to receive first-team honors.

Bridget Bass, of Bluestone, was named the Player of the Year, and Nelda Bagley, of Central of Lunenburg, was named the Pitcher of the Year,

Amy Henneberger, of Goochland, was named the Coach of the Year.
