The Cumberland County Planning Commission will meet on Monday, June 17, 2013, at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in Room C-8 of the Cumberland County Community Center located at the corner of Anderson Highway (Route 60) and Forest View Road (Route 628) in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204, which such hearing may be continued or adjourned, as required under applicable law, and to consider the following item and taking actions in furtherance thereof:

Rezoning Request No. 13-01 – A rezoning request of approximately 25 acres of property currently zoned R-2, Rural Resi-dential to B-1, Business. The property is designated as tax map parcel 45-A-11, which is located on the north side of Anderson Highway (Route 60), about one mile west of the Powhatan County line. The property is currently vacant forested land and if rezoned the applicant proposes to develop it for a wholesale bakery business. The property is within Election District 2.

Copies of the complete text of the above rezoning proposal and associated plan are available for public review at the office of the Cumberland County Planning Department, County Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Circle, Cumberland, Virginia between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm of each business day. The public is invited to attend this hearing at which persons affected may appear and present their views.
