DILLWYN, June 25 – Anna Jane Vernon, 82, of Dillwyn, went home to be with Jesus and past loved ones on Saturday, June 22, 2013. She was born on June 11, 1931 in West Virginia to the late Nettie Wade Davis and Willie L. Davis.

She is the widow of Oscar C. Vernon and was a beloved mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Vernon is survived by her children, Robert, James, Jerry Vernon and Lillie Powell, Tammy Vernon, Theresa Chilcote and Connie King; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Whorley.

She was well loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

A graveside funeral service was held Tuesday, June 25 at the Buckingham Community Cemetery.
