Editor, The Herald:

This letter is in response to the article written by Dr. Ray A. Gaskins about Chapman Hunter Binfold, M.D. – The Man Who Conquered Leprosy published, April 19.

I was so intrigued by his wring, describing Dr. Binford's life and accomplishments, that my husband and I found his grave on Buffalo Church Road at the site of Buffalo Presbyterian Church, Prince Edward County. I have lived here 53 years and no one has ever spoken of him for his medical research.

In my estimation, Dr. Minford is the best-kept secret and the greatest native son of Prince Edward County.
