Margaret V. Perkins

MARYLAND, May 14 – On Friday, May 10, 2013, Margaret V. Perkins of Laurel, MD, previously of Hyattsville, MD, passed away at the age of 95. Born in Illinois, she lived in Prospect until the age of 16. She worked as a sales clerk for Woodward & Lothrop Inc. until retiring.

She loved flower gardening, crocheting and was always following current event and politics. Every day Ms. Perkins exercised, prayed and read her Bible. She will be remembered for her strong, independent nature.

She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and predeceased by five sisters and seven brothers.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 15 at 1 p.m. at the Prospect Methodist Cemetery, Prospect.
