Blanton & Pleasants, a family owned and operated general store, held its 83rd Anniversary Celebration during the weekend of April 19 and 20. A fixture of Cartersville, the store gave out over 80 door prizes during the two-day event and offered a free lunch on Saturday. Co-owner of the one-stop-shop, James “Spanky” Pleasants, pictured, will still be happy to cut your hair if you decide to come and pick up a soft drink, hammer, loaf of bread or vintage car.
