“The Friends of the Appomattox River invite members of the community to hear a presentation at 7 pm on May 9 discussing the microbial content of local waterways. The talk, to be given by Dr. David Buckalew of Longwood University, is entitled, Bacteria in the Appomattox River; a primer for canoeists.

The talk will take place at The Mill (next to Charley's Waterfront Cafe) in the basement level meeting room and will be followed with light refreshments.
