April 18 – Happy Birthday wishes go out to Todd Worley, of Cumberland, Roy Martin, and Bernice Baird, of Dillwyn, and Nancy Fairchild, of New Canton, celebrating on Wednesday, April 24 and Junior Midkiff, of Cumberland, celebrating on Thursday, April 25.
Our though and prayers go out to all those who are sick and shut-in.
Bob and Peggy Monicure, of Cumberland, visited in the home of Pete and Annie May Miles in Dillwyn last week.
Spreading God's Gifts Inc. spaghetti dinner concert featuring Smokey Wilson of Concord was held on Saturday, April 13 at The First Baptist Church in Dillwyn. A special thanks to those who supported or attended.
Bradley Carter, of North Carolina, spent a few days with his sister Ann Carter in Dillwyn last week.

Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church, located off of U.S. 15 North of Dillwyn in Arvonia on State Route 672, will host a Gospel Sing on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m. Featured will be the Singing Cookes and the Cooke Brothers from Kingsport, Tennessee. Spreading God's Gifts Inc. will be hosting an non-denominational worship service on Thursday evening, April 25, at 7 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Buckingham. Everyone is cordially invited to attend. There will be testimonies and a message from God's Holy Word. A donation box will be available. Monies will be used to further the ministry and help others in their hour of need. Refreshments will follow and will include coffee and cookies. Note: Those who need a ride or interested in giving someone a ride are asked to phone 434-983-2269 or 804-492-5806.
