April 4 – Happy Birthday wishes go out to Louise Crews, of Buckingham, celebrating on Monday, April 8, and Florence Lango, of Dillwyn, and Cheryl Canipe, of Henrico, celebrating on Tuesday, April 9.
A special get-well wish is sent out this week to Pete Miles of Dillwyn who fell and suffered a broken shoulder over the weekend. He is said to be doing ok as of this writing.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who are sick and shut-in.
A number of family members attended a luncheon at the home of Ruby Cogdill on Easter Sunday, March 31. Everyone enjoyed a great time together.
Marshall England Jr., of Richmond was a guest in the home of Bea England in Dillwyn on Monday, April 1. Thought for the Day: A snap judgment has a way of becoming unfastened.
Spreading God's Gifts, Inc. a local non-profit home-grown faith-based ministry organization that assists working individuals or families in need primarily in the surrounding area.
On Saturday evening, April 13, from 6-8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Main Street Dillwyn, Spreading God's Gifts will host a benefit spaghetti dinner concert. Dinner will include homemade spaghetti, garlic bread, tossed salad, dessert and a drink. All for a donation.
Southern Gospel Music will be presented by Smokey Wilson of Concord, there also will be door prizes given away.
Funds resulting from this event will help individuals and families. All are invited to join in for an evening of great food and music. Advance reservations are not required but recommended in order to determine the amount of food needed for the evening.
