More than 400 people attended the 2013 Henry Fulcher-Greater Farmville March for Babies last Sunday, presented and hosted by Centra Southside Community Hospital. The event, chaired by local business owner Margaret Taylor-Collins, raised a record $27,045, with donations still coming in and fundraisers planned through the end of the year. Local March of Dimes Staff Partner, Betsy Rhodes, said the event bested the previous Farmville record of $26,400 for its March for Babies set in 2011, and predicted the final total will be over $30,000 by year's end.
