PRINCE EDWARD – The Prince Edward Area Firefighters Association is holding its four annual 5K race, Feet For Fire, on April 20 at 9 a.m. at Hampden-Sydney College.

Rain or shine.

All proceeds from the race will benefit each of the seven fire departments in the county, as well as the Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad.

The cost of entering the race is $20 per person, ages 13 and up.

“We will also have a Kids Fun Run following the 5K at 10 a.m.,” said a spokesperson for the event. The cost of the fun run is $5, for ages 5-12.

The fun run's distance will be one quarter of a mile.

This Saturday night also marks a fundraiser for the fire departments at Buffalo Wild Wings, from 5-10 p.m., with a portion of the food sales to be donated toward helping the fire departments.
