WINGINA, April 25 – Delmas Day Stinson, 63, of Wingina, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was born September 18, 1949, the son of the late Lloyd and Ester Mae Stinson.

He is survived by his children, Susan Rodgers (Andy) of Tye River, Jenny Tipton (Curtis) of Buckingham, Lisa Stinson of Buckingham and Les Fitzgerald of Piney River; two brothers, Sterling and Wayne Stinson of Wingina; three sisters, Lela Bryant (Marshall), Lois Wright (Ashbly) of Appomattox and Doris Carroll of Buckingham; grandchildren, Jacob and Hunter Rodgers, Dylan and Shawn Tipton and PFC Scott Fitzgerald of Hawaii; niece, Christie Tucker (John) and nephew, Gene Bryant all of Appomattox; and the mother of his children, Joyce Lann of Buckingham. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Guy, Earl, Garland and Mitchell Stinson.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bryant Family Cemetery with the Rev. Buddy Bryant officiating.
