Convert Roses Into Skating Rink

How much does the Town and, for that matter, the County care about its youth? Plenty, I'm hoping; at least enough to talk among themselves to consider the idea of converting the Rose's Store into a roller skating rink. This would give our youth, as well as the colleges a place to which they can go year-round. It would promote social encounters and promote exercise, which coincides with the first lady's anti-obesity campaign.
Some of my best memories come from the skating on Friday and Saturday nights. It was “the” place to meet. There were themed nights such as “All Night Skates.” Of course there were the birthday parties. There could also be themes such as 50's, 60's or other themes others might think of.
It could also be used by schools, churches, and even fraternities for fundraisers. The potential may be as close as your own imagination.
So what do you say? Is it worth your time to consider getting the kids off the couch and off the video games?
