Amelia Hands BC Boys Track First Defeat

The Buckingham County High School boys track team lost its first meet of the season against James River District competition on Wednesday afternoon in a quad meet.
The Knights (11-1) fell to Amelia County, which scored 78 points on the afternoon. Buckingham was credited with 67.5 points, while Central tallied 44 points and Randolph-Henry finished with 24.5 points on the afternoon.
Devin Smith was Buckingham's lone first place finisher. He took top honors in the Shot Put and Discus.
Buckingham will host Nottoway, Central and Cumberland on Wednesday, May 1 in a JRD quad meet at 4:30 at the BCHS Track and Field Complex.
