PALS (Pamplin Area Library Supporters) will sponsor a celebration in honor of the 9th anniversary of the opening of the Pamplin Branch of the Appomattox County Public Library on Monday, April 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pamplin Depot. There will be games with prizes awarded, story time and a demonstration of “Fire by Friction” – starting a fire on the way Stone Age people did. Participants will be encouraged to try their hand at starting their own fire.

The event will end with a Hot Dog Roast and decorating cupcakes for dessert. Community members of all ages are invited to this free celebration.
