MARCH 21 – Eric Chase Wood, 20, departed this life Saturday, March 16, 2013.
He graduated from Freeman High School in 2010 and attended Longwood University in Farmville. You would know him by his quick wit, radiant smile and, of course, his multiple bow ties and Sperry's.
Most recently, Chase had begun a career with CarMax of Richmond. Although it was a brief employment, he won the hearts of everyone he met there. If you ever had the pleasure of knowing him, you would know he had the gift for gab; whether talking about current events, politics, or his passion, cars, specifically Camaros. He also loved motocross and his music, especially classic rock. Ask him to play Layla by Eric Clapton and he would happily pick up his guitar. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. The river was his favorite place to hang out with friends during the summer. Many, a good time was had while there.
