Feb. 22 – Happy Birthday wishes go out to Frances Murphy, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Friday, Feb. 22, Will Cloud, of Cumberland, and Gail Thomas, of New Canton, celebrating on Saturday, Feb.23, and Sarah Davis, of New Canton, celebrating on Sunday, Feb. 24.
Dot Brown, of Richmond, spent a few days this week with her sister, Ann Carter, in Dillwyn.
Happy Anniversary wishes go out to Faye and Curtis Marion, of Cumberland, on Sunday, Feb. 24.
Joe and Kathy Weaver, of Cumberland, were afternoon guests in the home of James and Virginia Bowles in Cumberland on Sunday, Feb. 17.
Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, along with Susie Taylor, of Dillwyn, and Patricia Woodfin, of New Canton, all enjoyed an afternoon of great food, fun and fellowship at a Dillwyn restaurant on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Russell and Diane Green, of Cumberland, were afternoon guests in the home of Pete and Annie May Miles in Dillwyn on Sunday, Feb. 17.

Jane Cook and her grandson, Sam Booth, of Brookneal, along with Barry and Linda Miles, all enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship at a Farmville restaurant on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church, located off of U.S. 15 north of Dillwyn in Arvonia on State Route 672, will host a Gospel Sing on Sunday, March 3, at 1 p.m. Featured will be Mike and June Bryant, of Madison Heights. Following this there will be a message from God's Holy Word. A love offering will be received. Lunch served in the church fellowship hall following the message. The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a nonprofit organization, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, March 2, at 1 p.m. at Mount Tabor Baptist Church, located on Route 652 (Bridge Port Rd.) All members are asked to attend and bring a covered dish for the lunch hour. Following this will be the March program. Spreading God's Gifts, Inc., will host a non-denominational worship service on Thursday evening, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Buckingham. All are cordially invited to join in for special music, testimony, and a message from God's Holy Word. A donation box will be available. These monies will be used to further the ministry and help others in their hour of need. Refreshments will follow and will include coffee and cookies. Brown's Chapel United Methodist Church, located off of U.S. Route 15 north of Dillwyn on State Route 617 (Gravel Hill Road), will host a benefit Gospel Sing on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m. Featured will be The Bell Choir from St. Mark Church in Richmond. A love offering will be received. Funds resulting from this event will go to the expenses of the new church sign. Everyone is welcome to attend. For further information, phone 434-983-2269.
