Darryl and Cindy Spencer, of Ferrum, proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Shea Spencer, to Douglas Rowe Gillispie, son of Carroll and Debra Gillispie, of Farmville.

Jessica is a graduate of Ferrum College and Jefferson College of Health Sciences. She is employed as a physician assistant with the Center for Emotional Care in Salem.

Douglas is a graduate of Ferrum College and is employed full-time as a firefighter/medic with Botetourt County Emergency Services and part-time with Franklin County Public Safety.

A destination wedding is planned for June 2013 on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.
