CUMBERLAND, February 12 – Herman James Cole, 69, of Cumberland, passed away in Lynchburg on Thursday, February 7, 2013. He was born in Chesterfield to the late Mary Catherine Houstan Cole and James B. Cole on December 24, 1943. He is retired from James River Building Supply. He loved the outdoors and fishing. When he was inside he loved to watch western movies on TV.

He is survived by his children, James Cole, Barbara Cole of Cumberland, and Amanda Coburn and husband, Jof, of Appomattox; grandchildren, William, Koti and Jacob; brothers, Charles Cole and William Cole; sisters, Ann Eubank and Gloria Batkins and his life long love, Nancy W. Cole.

The family will hold a memorial service at Puckett Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 13 at 2 p.m.
