Editor, The Herald:

On Thursday evening I drove from Cumberland to Farmville to the “Taste of Farmville.” Upon reaching the STEPS building a gentleman asked if I was leaving or going in. So I told him going in…He handed a ticket to me and said his wife couldn't make it so he would be glad to give it to me.

I was amazed and told him how I appreciate it.

This was one of those random acts of kindness and I will do my best to remember to do kind deeds for others.
