Larry and Barbara Barone, of Cumberland, visited in the home of Pete and Annie May Miles in Dillwyn on Monday evening, December 10.

Congratulations to Earl and Gladys Absher of Dillwyn. The couple will celebrate their wedding anniversary on Sunday, December 16.

Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, along with Tom Snead and his daughter, Karen Agnew of Glen Allen, and also his daughter Cheryl Miles, of Richmond, all enjoyed a great evening of food, fun and fellowship at the Mount Vernon Baptist Church on Friday evening, December 7 for their annual Christmas program. This year's theme was “Season of Joy,” a Celtic Christmas Celebration.

The annual Farmville Herald correspondence banquet was held on Monday, December 7 at Country Cooking in Farmville. We would like to thank the entire management and staff for a wonderful event. The Farmville Herald is still number one.

Barry and Linda Miles along with Ray Miles of Cumberland, and Pete and Annie May Miles enjoyed lunch at a Richmond restaurant and had a nice visit in the home of Gladys Toney, also of Richmond, on Wednesday, December 12.

Maratha Baptist Church, located on Tuggle Road in Farmville, will hold their annual Christmas Program on Sunday evening, December 16 at 6 p.m. This year's program will be a musical that attendees are sure to enjoy.

Following the program will be refreshments and surprises in the church fellowship hall.
