The Prince Edward County High School swim team traveled to Group AAA Halifax recently for an out-of-district meet.
The boys team edged the host Comets 53-48 by finishing first and second in the 400m Freestyle Relay.
PE was led by West Bogese, who captured first place in the 200 Individual Medley (2:43.97) and first in the 100m Breast Stroke (1:21.42).
Bobby Burke took first in the 100m Free Style (59.25) and Austin Bailey won in the 100m Butterfly 1:10.30.
Samuel Bidwell won in the 200m Freestyle (2:40.61), which bettered his previous personal best by nearly 15 seconds.
Prince Edward also took first place finishes in the 200m Free Relay, 200m Medley Relay and the 400 Free Relay.
With only five members on the team, the PECHS girls team held their own, but didn't have enough bodies to compete for an overall team victory.
Courtney Bailey, a freshman, won the 100m Freestyle (1:28.18). The 400m Freestyle Relay team of Bailey, Libby Reed, Aunna Steward and Samantha Gubash won their event with a time of 6:09.59.
