Jack R. Alloway, 90

MEHERRIN, December 13 – Jack R. Alloway, 90, left us to be with his savior on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in Meherrin. He was born on August 9, 1922 to the late Harry and Irene Raughley Alloway in Blackwood, NJ.

Mr. Alloway served his country in WWII as a navigator of a B17 in the US Army Air Corp. He loved playing golf and fishing.

He is the widower of Natalie Soltner Alloway and is survived by his daughters, Susan Stow (Ed) of Meherrin and Julie A. Neitzke (Kent) of Mt Laurel, NJ; and stepdaughter, Karen Ritchie of New Hampshire. He was also the loving grandfather of Melanie, Lauren and Justin and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on January 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Long Neck United Methodist Church, Millsboro, DE.
