Carolyn Rowsey Dickerson, 65

NOVEMBER 20 – Carolyn Rowsey Dickerson, 65, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 15, 2012. She is the wife of Charles Dickerson. She was born in Farmville on May 19, 1947 to the late A.C. and Bernice Rogers Rowsey.
Mrs. Dickerson went to Cumberland County School and in 1968 married the love of her life. They built their home together where they raised two sons. She worked outside the home until the last ten years where she was loved by her friends and community. She attended Calvary Tabernacle Church and had a close relationship with God. She love to decorate inside and outside her home and made it a beautiful and loving place for her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Charles; two sons, Charles “Chuck” D. Dickerson Jr. of Meherrin and Brant “Chip” C. Dickerson (Stacy) of Lancaster, PA; three brothers, Wiley Rowsey, Jerry Rowsey and Donnie Rowsey; five grandchildren, Caitlin, Harley, Cameron, Ethan and Audrey; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service was held Monday, November 19, at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
