RICE, October 23 – Theresa Lynn Manning Crenshaw, 46, of Rice, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012. Born in Franklin on June 24, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Howard G. and Dorothy Meade Pierce Manning.

Surviving are two sons, Clayton B. Smith (Denise) and Jordan P. Smith (Kat); grandson, Cristofer B. Smith; life-partner, Charles “Chuck” Hammock of Rice; two brothers, Lester Manning of Rice Square, NC and Joel Manning of Kenbridge; three sisters, Doris M. Spiratos and Roslyn Manning both of Rice and Jacqueline M. Williams of Dillwyn and many loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard G. Manning Jr. and John D. Manning and two sisters, Mary Anna Schuchman and Marilyn L. Davis.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, at Shorter Funeral Home.
