SEPTEMBER 20 – William Clifford Goforth Sr., 71, of Farmville, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012.

He is survived by a son, William Clifford Goforth Jr. of Farmville; two daughters, Helen Kellis of Bass, NC, and Pam Wagner of Charlotte Courthouse; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Goforth Underwood of Pamplin, and Sharon Harris of Appomattox; two brothers, Charles Edward Goforth of Hampden Sydney, and Carl Gene Goforth of Farmville; close family friend, Joyce Shelton of Farmville; and his faithful dog, Lady. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Patterson Goforth.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 22, at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
