Farmville Mayor Sydnor Newman, signs a proclamation acknowledging Friday, Sept. 21, as National POW/MIA Recognition Day. Members of VFW Post 7059 and its Ladies Auxiliary are planning a POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony on Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. on the Prince Edward Courthouse lawn (weather permitting). The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
