CUMBERLAND, Sept. 25 – Malik DaSilva, 31, of Cumberland, departed this life on Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Richmond.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa; four children, Mierra, Makiyah, Raequan, and Jaquan; mother, Joan (Robert); father, Wali; grandmother, Violia; two devoted brothers, Sultan (Juanita) and Jon; father-in-law, Sam (Bev) and a host of other relatives and friends.

His remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home, Cumberland, where public viewing will be held Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1957 Capeway Road, Powhatan, with Michael Waters presiding and the Rev. Stevie Trent will be Eulogist.
