CUMBERLAND, Aug. 7 – Frankie D. “Bubba” Thurston, Jr., 19, of Cumberland, died Saturday, August 4, 2012.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret M. Nuckols; father, Frankie Thurston (Holly Maxwell) of Cumberland; step-father, Rickey Jackson of Cartersville; brother, Rickey Jackson Jr. of Cartersville; sister, Jeanie Goodson (Charles) of Cartersville; ma-ternal grandparents, Loretta Strickland and Alonzo Nuckols; paternal grandparents, Clarence Thurston (Margaret) and Louise West (Eddie); and girlfriend, Bailey Stokes. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Ricky Thurston.

The family will receive friends Wednesday (tonight) from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, Powhatan.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 9, 11 a.m. at the Thomas Chapel United Methodist Church, Cumberland. In-terment will be in Cartersville Cemetery.
