Twin Lakes Notes Weekend Events

Twin Lakes State Park announces the following events:
Friday, June 22, 2 p.m., “Creature Feature” – learn about one of the park's many amazing cretures; 3 p.m., “Up, Down and All Around” – learn how to navigate using maps and compasses; 4 p.m., “Guided Beaver Hike” – hike around one of the trails; 6 p.m., “Family Game Night” – board games, card games, puzzles and more; 8 p.m., “Make New Friends Campfire” – make friends, sing songs, hear a few stories and enjoy s'mores, meet at the campfire circle below Shelter 1;
Saturday, June 23, 11 a.m., Canoeing 101″ – start with the basics, fee for the program is $5 per person, $4 per person for groups of 4+; meet at the Goodwin Lake Boat Ramp; 2 p.m., “Great American Backyard Campout” – in honor of this national initiative Twin Lakes is offering a special edition of Campfire Cooking, meet at the campfire circle below Shelter 1; 4 p.m., “Fit to be Tied!” a special edition of Crafty Campers with tie dying, $6 per person, meet at the Interpretive Circle; 6 p.m., “Appreci-ation of Nature Hike” – take a quiet hike throughout the forest.
All programs meet at the Nature Nook unless otherwise noted. Scheduled subject to change due to weather.
