CLAYTON, June 26 – Sam Shepard Bowles Jr. passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at his home. Born on May 18, 1947 in Prince Edward County, he was the son of the late Sam Shepard Bowles and Maybelle Meadows Bowles. He was a heavy equipment mechanic until 1995 when he was disabled.

Surviving are his wife, Kimberly S. Bowles of the home; sons, Sam of Richmond and Tony Bowles and wife, Megen of Wendell, NC; daughters, Margaret of Delaware, Jessica Crowder and Chris Harper of Ashland; brother, Larry Bowles and wife, Juanita of Powhatan; three grandchildren, Kayleigh Marie Bowles, Christopher Russell Harper Jr. and Collin Russell Harper.

Funeral Services were conducted Monday, June 25 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC. Entombment followed at Selma Memorial Gardens.
