LYNCHBURG, June 5 – Queen S. Brown, 89, of Lynchburg, formerly of Fluvanna County, departed this life on Friday, June 1, 2012 in Lynchburg.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Regina Brown; sister-in-law, Alice Scruggs; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home where public viewing will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 12 p.m. at Thessalonia Baptist Church, Fork Union. Remains will lie in state one hour prior to service. The Rev. Robert Strothers, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
