May 17 – Happy Birthday wishes go out to Susie Taylor, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Monday, May 21; Kathy Midkiff, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Tuesday, May 22; and Opal Pembelton, of Powhatan, and Temple Taylor, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Wednesday, May 23.
Linda Miles and Pat Lankford, both of Cumberland, along with Jane Cooke, of Brookneal, spent Friday, May 11, through Monday, May 14 vacationing in Myrtle Beach. All enjoyed a nice time.
Our thoughts and prayers go out this week to those who are sick and shut-in.
Elizabeth, Holly and Tina Cook, of Midlothian, and Barry and Linda Miles of Cumberland, all enjoyed a great evening of food and fellowship at a Richmond Restaurant. This was in honor of Holly Cook successfully completing ninth grade and going into tenth for the 2012-2013 school year.
Welcome home to Temple Taylor of Dillwyn who spent sometime in the hospital. She is reported to be getting along nicely as of this writing.
Ralph and Fern Dunnavant, of Dillwyn, spent Mother's Day weekend with her mom, Myrtle Gibson, in Covington. A nice time was enjoyed.
A large crowed attended a Mother's Day luncheon in the home of T.J. (Tommy Joe) and Stephanie Waycaster in Powhatan on Sunday, May 13. All enjoyed great food, fun and fellowship.
Barry and Linda Miles along with Pete and Annie May Miles of Dillwyn visited with Earlene Baker in Richmond on Wednesday, May 9. She has health issues. Your thoughts and prayers are continually needed.
