Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, and Jane Cooke, of Brookneal, enjoyed great food, fun and fellowship at a Lynchburg Restaurant on Sunday afternoon, April 29.
Belated birthday wishes go out to Caroline Martin, of Scottsville, who celebrated her third birthday on Saturday, April 28. She is the daughter of Toney and Rebecca Martin.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Monday, May 7 at 5 p.m. at Country Cooking in Farmville. All members are cordially invited to attend with their meal to be funded by the general fund of BCCFA. All guests attending will pay $10 per person, which is not funded by the group. Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church, located off of U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn in Arvonia on State Route 672, will host a Gospel Sing and supper on Saturday, May 5. A buffet supper will begin at 6 p.m. Followed by Gospel music from church singers and musicians beginning at 7 p.m. A love offering will be received. All are cordially invited to attend.
Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church Thrift Store in Arvonia is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds from the thrift store are used to help individuals and families in their hour of need.
