Roy W. and Rita S. Hill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at the Farmville Train Station on Dec. 30, 2011. The celebration was given by their children, Dana H. Osborn and husband Vince, of Farmville, and Lyndon W. Hill and wife Denise, of Curdsville, and four grandsons: Trevor Hill, and Clay, Drew and Matt Osborn. The Hills were married on Dec. 30, 1961, at Arvon Baptist Church in Buckingham County with the Rev. Carlton Milstead, pastor of Arvon, and the Rev. Howard Wall, pastor of New Store Presbyterian Church, officiating.
