The Cumberland County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in room C-8 of the Cumberland County Community Center located at the corner of Anderson Highway (Route 60) and Forest View Road (Route 628) in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204, which such hearing may be continued or adjourned, as required under applicable law, and to consider the following item and taking actions in furtherance thereof:

BZA 12-01: Steven W. & Rebecca B. Thompson request a variance from the requirements of Section 74-135 of the Cumberland County Zoning Ordinance regarding site limitations such area and density regulations with respect to approximately 3.61 acres of Tax Map 89, Section A, Parcel 73. The affected property is zoned A-2, Agricultural. The applicant requests the maximum dwelling density regulation be varied to allow for the placement of a second dwelling on the property. The affected property has a physical address of 10 Thompson Road, Farmville VA 23901 and is located at the intersection of Cumberland Road (Route 45) and Thompson Road (Route 699) in election district 4.

The public is invited to attend these hearings at which persons affected may appear and present their views.
