RICHMOND, April 17 – Nellie Moore Nelson, 81, of Richmond and formerly of Green Bay, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 in Richmond. She was born in North Carolina on December 13, 1920 to the late Jack and Bessie Moore. She was a retired waitress.

Surviving are her husband, Eddie Nelson Sr.; daughters, Nancy Washburn and Nell Hunnel both of Richmond; brother, Billy Moore of North Carolina; stepchildren, Rita N. Shumaker of Buckingham, Trisha N. Hawkins of Sutherland, Helen N. Rogers of Green Bay and Eddie Nelson Jr. of Dinwiddie; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Clawson.

A graveside funeral service was held Tuesday, April 17 in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
