CAPRON, April 19 – Howard R. “Rusty” Arthur Jr., 50, of Capron, went to be with his Lord after a brief illness on Friday, April 13, 2012. He was born June 28, 1961 in Barstow, California, the son of Howard R. Arthur Sr. and Nancy L. Arthur of Farmville.

Mr. Arthur was a graduate of Prince Edward County High School and loved fishing and hunting and was a member of the Driver Hunting Club. He also loved watching NASCAR and was a big fan. He worked at the Department of Corrections for 30 years and was Captain at Deerfield Correctional Center.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Arthur; two daughters, Nicole Arthur and Anna Arthur; two sons, Michael Arthur and Steven Arthur; sister, Kristi Frank and husband, Bill Frank Jr. of Richmond; grandmother, Ola B. Arthur and five nieces and nephews, George, Elaina, Anthony, Trisha and Joseph.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, April 18, at New Life Assembly of God in Farmville with interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
