Vows Exchanged

Megan Fleming Allen, of Dillwyn, and Mitchell Wayne Crickenberger, of Buckingham, were united in marriage December 3 at Farmville United Methodist Church, Farmville.
The bride is the daughter of Monte and Pennie Allen, of Dillywn. The groom is the son of Barry and Pat Crickenberger, of Buckingham.
The Reverend Jim Radford performed the double-ring ceremony. The Reverend Veronica Barrell assisted.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a silk gown designed by Sottero & Midgley. The dress was a white slim A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and corset closure while the train poured into a gorgeous balloon hem.
The bride was attended by her sister Monny Allen as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittney Wharam, Kim Murphy, Kelly Jo Crickenberger, Amber Brownlee, Evelyn Bryant, and Jordan Murphy. Crista Hunt, Camryn Wilson, and Callyn Murphy served as flower girls.
Mr. Crickenberger served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were Drew Allen, Lynn Murphy, Jason Farrish, Grandy Taylor, Brian Staton, and Shawn Saunders. Nicholas Allen and Gage Murphy were ring bearers.
Program attendants were Taylor Hunt and Tyler Hunt who also lit the candles.
Daphne Mason served as mistress of ceremonies.
Amaris and Shiloh Wilbanks sang “God Gave Me You.”
A reception was held at Farmville Municipal Golf Course.
After a honeymoon cruise to Alaska, the couple will reside in Buckingham County.
Both bride and groom were graduates of Buckingham County High School. The bride is employed by Centra Southside Community Hospital The groom is employed by CSX Railroad.
There were many wedding showers, including a tea, given by churches, friends grandmothers, and the bridal party.
