The Prospect Historical Society will have its monthly meeting April 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Prospect Fire Station. Each of you is invited to attend.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Noblin joined the LLL Club of Heritage Baptist Church on a trip last Tuesday to Walton's Mountain Museum at Schuyler followed by lunch at Wintergreen.
Peggy Kelsey attended the Prince Edward – Randolph Henry Varsity baseball game on Friday. Her grandson, Darrell Shumaker was the pitcher.
Mrs. Ruth Garrow visited Mr. and Mrs. Ray Noblin March 26 and 27 before returning home in Prince George County. Ruth is one of Betty's sisters.
Coley and Lewis Hamlett and their families of Berlin, Maryland visited their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Hamlett over the past weekend.
Mrs. Flora Bolt traveled with Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bolt to visit Mr. and Mrs. David Paquette, Jr.; also visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Billy Mottley and Mr. and Mrs. David Paquette, Sr.. They also enjoyed a delicious lunch with David and Ashley.
Family, friends and neighbors wish a speedy recovery for those who are sick at this time; Mrs. Ida Scruggs LeWarner, Mrs. Joyce Slayton, William Orange, Ms. Patsy Horne; Mrs. Cecelia Culler and Mrs. Page Johnson.
Dr. and Mrs. Theodore George from Potomac, Maryland were guests at Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church last Sunday. Their son in-law, Kemper Beasley was the lay speaker.
Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. The Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will be in the pulpit this Sunday, Palm Sunday.
The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. This Sunday, Palm Sunday, the Rev. Willie Thompson will bring the message and conduct Holy Communion.
Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. They invite you to join them each week on Wednesday evening for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m. Calvary Chapel-Farmville is located at 45 Simpson Road in Prospect, two miles west of Dowdy's Corner just off of US 460.
