March 22 – “Remember to go out of your way to do something kind once in a while.”

The Presbyterian Women of Clusters 1,2,3,4,5, and 6 will hold their Spring Gathering at the Farmville Presbyterian Church March 25 at 2:30pm. All Presbyterian women are invited to attend.

The Prospect Happy Hats enjoyed a St. Patrick's Day lunch March 17 at Merk's Place. The event was hosted by Jeannette Tarlton; those joining Jeannette were Betty Meadows, Ann Norton, Elsie Wilson, Edith Vaughan and Joyce Floyd.

Mr. and Mrs. John Fulcher visited at the Woodlands on Sunday visiting Gene Ward, Betty Perkins and Bessie Dowdy.

Mrs. Hilda Allen and Mrs. Lois Johnson were among the many attending the fund raiser at the Walker's Presbyterian Church last Saturday night. Smoky Wilson was in concert with the funds raised going to Relay for Life.

Mr. and Mrs. John Fulcher visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Hayes as they helped Doug Hayes, Emily Fulcher and Ben celebrate their birthdays.

Mrs. Betty Meadows visited Mrs. Cecelia Culler on Monday afternoon. Cecelia is very glad to be home.

Mrs. Flora Bolt attended the March 14 meeting of the United Daughters of the Confederacy at the Farmville/Prince Edward Community Library. President Mrs. Kathryn Powell opened the meeting and business was discussed and plans made for the year. Flora had the program and talked on General Robert E. Lee who is so dear to our hearts.

On March 15, Mrs. Flora Bolt visited Mrs. Edna Woodson and Charles Southall Jr. at Trinity Missions. Also visiting was Mrs. Woodson was her husband Mr. Woodson and visiting Charles was his mother, Mrs. Frances Southall.

Mr. and Mrs. George Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stockton enjoyed a St. Patrick's Day dinner at Merk's Place March 17.

Family, friends and neighbors wish a speedy recovery for those who are sick at this time; William Orange, Ms. Patsy Horne; Mrs. Joe (Gladys) Fulcher; Ken Toney; Mrs. Shirley Fulcher; Mrs. Elizabeth Mason; Mrs. Cecelia Culler and Mrs. Page Johnson.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. Kemper Beasley III will be in the pulpit this Sunday.

The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m with worship at 11 a.m.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. They invite you to join them each week on Wednesday evening for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m. Calvary Chapel-Farmville is located at 45 Simpson Road in Prospect, two miles west of Dowdy's Corner just off of US 460.
