Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, along with Nancy Fairchild and her mother, Ella R. Snoddy, both of New Canton, all enjoyed an evening of great food, fun and fellowship at a Cumberland Restaurant on Sunday, March 25.
Our thoughts and prayers go out this week to those who are sick and shut-in.

Barry and Linda Miles and Pat Lankford, all of Cumberland, and Jane Cooke, of Brookneal, enjoyed a meal at an Appomattox Restaurant on Sunday afternoon, March 25. A nice time was had by all.
The Appomattox County High School Athletic Boosers Club presented their final Bluegrass Concert Fundraiser of the Year on Sunday, March 25 with Dailey and Vincent at the Appomattox County High School Auditorium. An almost capacity crowd attended. Attending locally were Barry and Linda Miles and Pat Lankford of Cumberland, Timothy Wallace and Florence Benton of Dillwyn and Jane Cooke of Brookneal an incredible afternoon was enjoyed by all.
Congratulations to Chuck and Nancy Fairchild of New Canton. The couple celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 18.
Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church Thrift Store, located U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn, 339 Circle Drive in Arvonia is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. All proceeds from the thrift store are used to help individuals and families in their hour of need. Cedar Baptist Church, located just off of U.S. Rt. 15 North of Dillwyn on State Route 650 (Trents Mill Rd.), hosts a Men's Promise Keepers Prayer Breakfast Sunday mornings, (excluding fifth Sundays) from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Spreading God's Gifts Inc. of Buckingham is a non-profit local organization who extends help to an in the communities to individuals and families in their hour of need. All are invited. The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, April 14 at 1 p.m. at Hatcher Baptist Church, located off of U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn at the intersection of State Routes 617 & 622. All members and are cordially invited to attend and bring a covered dish and a flower or plant to exchange. Tea and coffee will be provided by the Association. Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church, located of a U.S. 15 North of Dillwyn in Arvonia on State Route 672, will host a Gospel Sing and Supper on Saturday, April 7. A buffet supper will be served at 6 p.m. followed by Gospel Music beginning at 7 p.m. featuring church singers and others. A love offering will be received. All are cordially invited to attend.
