CHESAPEAKE, March 20 – Reginald Parker Lowry, 59, of Chesapeake, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at his residence. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Velma Jewel Lowry of Chesapeake; daughter, Regina Lowry of Cumberland; three stepdaughters, Paula Loslin, Gloria Drori, and Donna Wilson; three grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Bill Teller of Clarksville; his father and stepmother, Raymond and Harriet Lowry of Farmville; two sisters, Donna Simpson and husband, Al of Crewe, and Pamela Moyer and husband, Damon of Amelia; brother, Terry Wayne Lowry and wife, Andrea of San Antonio, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside funeral service was conducted Monday, March 19 at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice with Military Honors.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Burkeville Presbyterian Church Youth Group, 314 McLean Street Burkeville, VA 23922.
