VICTORIA, March 20 – Charles Herbert Bowman, 78, of Victoria, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012. He was a member of the Victoria Country Club of Victoria and was loved and respected by many.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Price Bowman of Victoria; sons, Charles “Chuck” Bowman of Meherrin, Scott Bowman and wife, Susan of New Jersey, and Daniel Bowman and wife, Wendy of Yardley, PA; mother, Jacqueline Bowman; step-children, Jennifer West of Chase City, Jeffrey LaParade of North Dakota, and Magellen Moss and husband, Sean of Chase City; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; sister, Ellen Carroll; sister-in-law, Gloria Bowman; and lots of sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Bowman, and a brother, Bobby Ray Bowman.

Graveside funeral services were held Sunday, March 18, in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch.

The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, was in charge of arrangements.
