Ceremony Held

The marriage of Miss Mary Anna Schaeffer, daughter of Mr. Michael Schaeffer and Ms. Nancy Schaeffer, of Farmville, to Logan Robert Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Green, of Cumberland, took place on September 17 at Fitzgerald Memorial Baptist Church in Cumberland.
The Reverend Dale Brown officiated.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Aurelia Hazlegrove and the late Mr. Joseph A. Hazlegrove Sr., and Mrs. Anna Schaeffer and the late Mr. Eugene Schaeffer, all of Farmville. The groom is the grandson of Russell and Diane Green, of Cumberland, and James and Ann White, of Ahoskie, NC.
Matron of honor was Beverly DeVore. Bridesmaids were Katie Merkle, cousin of the bride; Danielle Schaeffer, sister-in-law of the bride; and Heather Green, sister of the groom. Lottie Mae Hazlegrove, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.
Mr. Green served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were James Garner, Brisco Thurston, and Travis Green, brother of the groom. Liam Eastwood, cousin of the groom, served as ring bearer.
Following a honeymoon cruise in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Franklin County.
Mary Anna attended Cumberland High School and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Dairy Science. She is employed by Hodgesview Dairy in Rocky Mount.
Logan was home schooled and is employed with J. W. Barton's Construction Company in Boones Mill.
