Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church Thrift Store, located in Arvonia, is open Monday-Wednesday from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. and Thursday-Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. All proceeds from the thrift store are used to help individuals and families in their hour of need.
Spreading God's Gifts, Inc. is a local-profit home-grown faith-based ministry organization that assists in working individuals or families in need. Primarily serving Buckingham and surrounding counties.
There will be a benefit dinner concert on Saturday evening, February 4 from 6-8 p.m. in the Buckingham County Middle School Cafetorium, located just off of Route 60 on High School Road in Buckingham. The dinner includes homemade spaghetti, bread, tossed salad, dessert, water, tea or coffee for a tax-deductible donation. Cathy Whatley of Virginia Beach will present special music. Cedar Baptist Church located, just off U.S. Rt. 15 North of Dillwyn on State Rt. 650 (Trends Mill Rd.), hosts a Men's Promise Keepers Prayer Breakfast Sunday mornings (excluding fifth Sundays) from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
The Buckingham County Christian fellowship association, a non-profit organization, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, February 4 at 1 p.m. at Welcome Wesleyan Church, located U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn in New Canton. All members are cordially invited to attend and bring a covered dish with tea and coffee to be provided by the Association. Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church will be hosting a Gospel Sing and supper on Saturday, February 4. A buffet supper will be served at 6 p.m. followed by Gospel Music beginning at 7 p.m. featuring church singers and others. A love offering will be received. All are cordially invited to attend. The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association is also hosting a one-day bus trip to Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday, March 3.
The trip will include Motorcoach Transportation, a full course buffet and show at the Barn Dinner Theatre. The show will be Sing Hallelujah.
