Now is a good time to open a new business in Farmville.
I am amazed at the resources available in this town; everything needed to start a business is here. Beginning with the ease of purchasing property, legal and banking services, land surveys, deed and title searches, is all conveniently recorded at the county courthouse in the center of Farmville. Construction supplies, lighting, heating/cooling, electrical service, plumbing, paint, floor refinishing, design and printing services, window treatments and furnishings, office equipment and supplies are all here, making building renovations possible.
Not only is it convenient to shop at home, but also the high quality of service offered here is topnotch. Folks are friendly, they actually care, and that is what a small town is all about. Why would you need to go anywhere else?
The Longwood Small Business Development Center here in Farmville was quite helpful in translating our dream into a reality. Having support from the Downtown Farmville committee, the Town Manager, the Town Planner, the Farmville Town Council, the Chamber of Commerce, as well as area merchants, has made this opportunity straightforward.
In addition, the Town of Farmville is now officially designated as a Virginia Main Street. This program offers free architectural design work to downtown property owners in order to improve building facades. With all of these resources available, now is good time to open a new business in Farmville, and that is exactly what I am going to do.
